THE PILOT
Gavin
Gavin takes care of the flying, bringing you into the cockpit for the route, the views and the decisions that shape each trip. Once the aircraft is parked, he’s ready to see what Pete has found.
DEPARTING SWANSEA · EXPLORING BRITAIN
One pilot. One pub nerd. A light aircraft.
And a shared love of seeing where the adventure takes us.
01 / THE FLIGHTPUB WAY
And it gets even more interesting when you land.
We’re Gavin and Pete. We take to the skies in a Robin DR400, touch down at Britain’s airfields and head out in search of pubs with a story to tell.
Coastal inns, city backstreets, local legends and the people you meet along the way. Sometimes there’s a plan. Sometimes there’s a bus to catch. There’s always something worth discovering.
We celebrate the character and community of Britain’s pubs and general aviation airfields — places worth visiting, sharing and keeping.
02 / WELCOME ABOARD
Come for the flying. Stay for the pubs. Enjoy the unexpected bits in between.
From cockpit conversations to conversations at the bar, our channel follows the whole journey — with scenery, history and a few laughs along the way.
Watch Welcome to FlightPubFull adventures, favourite moments and new discoveries.
03 / YOUR TRAVELLING COMPANIONS
A fascination with flying meets a lifetime’s fascination with pubs.
THE PILOT

THE PUB NERD
Peter has spent his adult life researching pubs and collecting pub memorabilia. He brings the stories behind the signs, an eye for an interesting local and plenty of reasons to take the long way to the bar.
04 / FROM THE FLIGHT LOG
Riverside pints, historic pubs and a memorable encounter with Morris dancers.
Spectacular coastal flying into Perranporth and a taste of Cornwall’s seaside pubs.
Upland pubs, a waterfall and a return journey that didn’t quite go to plan.
Caernarfon, Bar Bach and the flight home over Snowdonia and Portmeirion.

THE THIRD MEMBER OF THE CREW
Meet G-GBVX, our Robin DR400-120 Dauphin 2+2. Based at Swansea, it gives us a different perspective on Britain — and a rather good excuse to explore beyond the familiar.
